Young Evaluators 2025 applications open now!

Want to train as an evaluator?
Following the success of our Young Evaluators project, we are recruiting a new cohort of 12 young people to help evaluate our work. The project will last for two years, and participants will receive support and training including from our two expert volunteers, Professor Tony Gallagher, and Anoosha Gehani (Anoosha is a data scientist who works for the National Museums). You will help design how we evaluate our work, engage with your peers on helping us understand the impact we are having, and help analyse what we find out! Kerry – our staff expert on data and evaluation – will support you. There are also opportunities (once trained) to do paid evaluation work for other organisations!
Here are some testimonials from our our past participants:
“I believe it was really important for Politics in Action to understand what we enjoyed and what we didn’t enjoy because while everything was amazing, there was always things that could be changed and always things that could be improved. So I feel like it’d be really important for next year to make it as useful and beneficial.”
Emma Baptista, Young Evaluators Participant
“Its good to look back on the project you know, to make sure that we looked at the good and the bad and to make sure the project continues better than ever.”
Tom Gyle, Young Evaluators Participant

- Work in teams to help develop our evaluation tools and analyse the evidence we gather with you
- Helping us to gather data through questionnaires, focus groups and other methods
- You will have the option of paid employment – working on evaluations for other organisations and interviewing your peers
You should be aged between 16 and 20. There is no cost for your involvement and we will cover your travel costs.
