Meeting the French Ambassador to Ireland in Donegal

We were delighted to host a visit of Madame Céline Place, French Ambassador to Ireland to Donegal recently.

The Ambassador was keen to learn about the PEACEPLUS project CONNECT - where we are leadng the Communities CONNECT strand. We will be working with communities across Northern Ireland and the Irish border counties including Donegal, so it was great to talk to her in Lifford.

She then joined us at the Royal and Prior School in Raphoe to be hosted by students who had been involved in our former cross border project under the International Fund for Ireland's Communities in Partnership Progrme, as well as students studying French at the school. We were also joined by students from Loreto Community School in Milford who were also part of the IFI funded project. It was great to hear the student's feedback about the project and the impact it had on them.
