Join Our Environment Campaign Group!
Are you passionate about the environment and worried about what is happening to our planet? Do you want to see our politicians take meaningful action to tackle climate change in Northern Ireland and beyond? They won't act until we make them!
We are recruiting an environmental justice campaign group from across Northern Ireland to inspire real change. This group will work closely with groups in Divis and Lower Shankill in Belfast to make a difference in our communities, society and in the wider world. Young people across Politics in Action's projects have continually raised climate change and eco justice as issues of massive concern. We know that young people care about the environment and we want to help. If you’re under 18 and interested in environmental justice and would like to receive training and support as a campaigner, we would love to hear from you.
As part of our campaign team you will learn how the environment impacts you locally and globally. We will offer you training to fully understand the impact of climate change on our environment, as well as develop your skills in debating or talking to the media, politicians and policymakers.
We will host events, residentials, and site visits to help us better understand the issues and how they affect our communities.
This is a two-year project, but we are asking you to sign up for a year at this point. There will be a residential, meetings and workshops as well as visits to places of interest - all guided by your ideas and interests. To sign up, fill in this form.
