Congratulations Monica

Monica McWilliams was one of the founding board members of Politics in Action and is now our patron. As a co-founder of the Women's Coalition she was a signatory of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement, and has worked in key roles since including as the Human Rights Commissioner and as a member of the commission overseeing the tackling paramilitarism programme. She is an esteemed academic having published widely on violence against women.

We are so delighted that Monica has been named as one of the 100 most influential and inspirational women in 2023 by the BBC. This recognition is greatly deserved and she is an inspiration to the young people we work with.
